Boyd and Evans shortlisted for Threadneedle Prize

We are delighted to announce that Clee Hill 2009 by Boyd and Evans has been shortlisted for the prestigious Threadneedle Prize.
This competition is a showcase for the best in contemporary painting and sculpture, open to all artist. This year three selectors will decide the winner of the £25,000 Threadneedle Prize from a shortlist of seven works entered through the open submission. The prizewinner will be announced on the evening of 15 September and each of the six runners up will receive £1,000. This year a new prize, the £10,000 Visitors’ Choice, will be also awarded to one of the seven shortlisted works through votes cast by the general public.

Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2010

The Royal Academy’s annual Summer Exhibition is the world’s largest open submission contemporary art exhibition. Now in its 242nd year, the exhibition continues the tradition of showcasing work by both emerging and established artists in all media including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, architecture and film. This year’s co-ordinators, Royal Academicians Stephen Chambers and David Chipperfield, have selected works for the exhibition around the theme ‘Raw’.
The Exhibition will feature Flowers artists Boyds & Evans, Derek Boshier, Edward Burtynsky, Jane Edden, Nicola Hicks, Lucy Jones, Tim Lewis, Tom Phillips, Carol Robertson and Trevor Sutton. A special memorial to the late Michael Kidner will be showing in the Fine Rooms.
Vancouver Biennale featuring Patrick Hughes

The Vancouver Biennale is a Bi-Annual Public Art Exhibition that brings sculptures, new media and performance works by celebrated and emerging international artists to Vancouver area public parks, beaches and urban plazas, transforming the city into an open-air museum. The exhibition promises a diverse mix of interesting and important works of contemporary art, featuring Patrick Hughes Doors to Learning located in Minoru Park, Richmond.
